Turbo Builder: Type a Workout, Watch It Build
Turbo Builder turns the Ride Cave workout builder into a text editor. Write a ride or a row one step per line and watch it build as you type, or let Atlas write the set from a sentence.
Most of us already know how to write a workout. We scribble it on a whiteboard, text it to a training partner, or read it off a coach's plan: 5 x 3 minutes hard, 3 easy. Dragging blocks around a canvas to say the same thing is slow. Turbo Builder lets you just type it.
One step per line
In Turbo Builder, every line is a step: a length and a target. On the bike that looks like 3min 115% 95rpm. On the rower it looks like 500m TR r30. Put 4x on its own line to repeat the lines under it, nest sets inside sets, and add Warmup, Main set, and Cooldown headings to keep it readable. Short on time? 4x500m/1:30r on one line is a full interval set.
As you type, the workout chart builds itself, so you always see the shape of the session you are writing. The editor suggests what fits next, flags a line that is not finished yet, and tidies up your formatting. Open What you can type to see every option, or start from one of the Try one examples.
Rides and rows
Turbo Builder speaks each sport's language. Rides use watts, a percentage of FTP, zones, and cadence. Rows use splits, watts, rowing zones from UT2 to AN, stroke rate targets and caps, rests, and distance, time, or calorie pieces. It works today in the Workout Builder and Instant Workout, for rides and rows, and it is built to grow with every sport we add next.
Let Atlas write the set
Cave Crew members get a shortcut. Start a line with @atlas and describe the set in plain words, like @atlas 4 x 500m hard with 90 seconds rest, then press Enter. Atlas, the Ride Cave AI coach, types the steps straight into your workout, fitted to your own FTP, splits, and zones. Edit them like any other line. Every AI feature in Ride Cave is optional and can be turned off.
Try it
Turbo Builder is free for everyone. Only the @atlas lines need Cave Crew. Open the Workout Builder under Tools or an Instant Workout and tap Turbo Builder in the bottom-left corner. Examples and the full syntax are on the Turbo Builder page, and you can read about our new rowing experience in Ride Cave Now Rows.
