Ride With Bots – Company on Every eRoute | Ride Cave

Company on every eRoute

Ride With Bots

Up to 30 simulated riders on any eRoute, at the zone you choose. They set a pace, give you a wheel, talk to you in the 3D world, and regroup when you call. Only you see them, and they are free on every route.

How it works

Set up the pack in seconds.

  1. Turn them on

Open any eRoute, press Next, and switch on Ride with bots on the ride setup screen. You start with four; the pill next to the switch holds every setting.

  2. Pick the zone

Z1 to Z4, or All for a pack spread evenly across the four. The zone is relative to your own FTP and weight, so a Z2 bot is a Z2 effort for you, scaled to its own body weight.

  3. Pacers or Racers

Pacers hold one steady power inside the zone. Racers ride like real riders, with their own fitness, surges, and harder climbing.

  4. Set the mix

Together keeps the pack within a few watts of each other, Mixed spreads them a little, Spread out ranges from well under to well over the target.

Two ways to ride

A pacing partner, or a group that races.

Every bot wears its zone on its name tag, so you always know who you are following.

Pacers hold the line.

A pacer holds one steady power for the whole ride, like a partner on the front. Its speed follows the road: slower on the climbs, faster on the descents, exactly as you would be at that power. Choose Together and every pacer sits right on the target; choose Mixed or Spread out and they vary, but never leave the zone you picked.

Racers ride like riders.

Each racer has its own fitness drawn around your target, drifts up and down a little, pushes on the climbs, eases on the descents, and surges now and then. Each one also has a name, a look and a riding personality: sprinters go hard and short, climbers come alive when the road tilts, diesels barely change pace, attackers go often, and social riders keep it chatty. A racer never goes far above its tagged zone, so a tempo pack stays a tempo pack even when someone attacks.

On the road

They do more than hold a wheel.

A draft you can use

On a plain route ride, sitting behind a bot saves you watts just like a live rider would. Drafting stays off when a workout is attached, so your targets are never changed by the bots around you.

They talk, and talk back

Bots chat in the 3D world when they are close enough to read: when you pass them, at the foot of a climb, when you sit on their wheel, at halfway and in the final stretch. Use the quick chats and they answer. Ease up slows the bots ahead, On the front brings one up to pull, Dropping back has the pack wait for you.

Ring the bell

Tap a bot in the world to ring a bell at it, and it rings back. Keep ringing the same bot and it gets cheekier.

Call bots

Dropped them, or rode away from them? Open the player menu and choose Call bots. The whole pack reforms around you, some just behind, some just ahead, and the ride carries on.

Real riders come first

The world shows the riders nearest you, and live riders always take those places first. Bots fill what is left, step aside on a busy road, and come back as it clears.

Only you see them

Bots live on your device. Other riders never see them, they work with multiplayer on or off, and on a loop route they keep riding lap after lap. Resume an interrupted ride and the same pack comes back.

Never ride alone again.

Pick an eRoute, press Next, switch on Ride with bots and roll out. Free for every rider, on every route.
