Multi-sport: Bring Your Whole Training Life Into Ride Cave
Import runs, rows, swims, and gym sessions from Strava, Intervals.icu, Garmin, and Wahoo. Every activity counts toward one fitness picture, free for everyone.
Ride Cave has always measured one sport very well. You ride, and your fitness, fatigue, and form follow along. But almost nobody only rides. You run in the off season, you row on the days your legs are wrecked, you lift, you get in the pool. Until now, all of that effort was invisible here, and your fitness picture had a hole in it every time you did anything but pedal.
Today we are announcing Multi-sport. Your runs, rows, swims, gym sessions, and nearly every other activity you do can now come into Ride Cave, earn an honest training load, and count toward the same fitness you already track. It is free for everyone.
One Fitness Picture
The whole point of Multi-sport is that every activity feeds the same numbers. A hard row and a long run land on your Training Status right beside your rides, so your Fitness, Fatigue, and Form finally reflect everything you actually did, not just the part that happened on a bike. There is still one combined fitness picture. It just stops pretending your other training never happened.
Turn It On With One Switch
Multi-sport is off until you ask for it. Open Settings, then Connections, and switch on Multi-sport import. From then on the activities you sync from Strava, Intervals.icu, Garmin, and Wahoo all come in, whatever their sport, not just your rides. You can also import a FIT file straight from a watch or head unit. Leave the switch off and nothing changes: Ride Cave stays cycling only, exactly as it was. And if you leave it off but one of your providers sends a run or a swim, Ride Cave lets you know it skipped it and offers to turn Multi-sport on.
Each Sport In Its Own Language
A run is not a ride, and Ride Cave stops treating it like one. Every activity now shows up with its own icon and its own numbers. Runs read in pace and steps per minute. Rows read in split per 500 meters, with the rowing UT2 through AN zones rather than cycling power zones. Gym and strength sessions carry a training load you set yourself. Your history gains sport filters as well, so you can look at just your runs, just your rows, or everything at once.
A Load You Can Trust
For a training load to mean anything, it has to be scaled to you. Set your Rowing FTP and your Running LTHR in Athlete settings, and rows and runs are scored against your own thresholds, the same way your rides are scored against your cycling FTP. For a gym session, where a power meter does not exist, you rate how hard the whole thing felt from 1 to 10 and Ride Cave turns that into a load. Every activity earns its number a sensible way, and none of them are guesses dressed up as data.
Cycling Stays Cycling
None of this touches your cycling. Your power analysis, your zones, and the cycling reports in the Data Lab are exactly where they were. Multi-sport adds your other training to the fitness that spans all of it. It does not water down the cycling depth you rely on. Cycling analytics stay cycling only, on purpose.
Coming Soon: Rowing You Can Do In Ride Cave
Bringing your activities in is the first half. The next half is doing them here. A virtual rowing experience is coming soon: connect your rower, row a workout inside Ride Cave the way you ride one today, with your effort on screen and the session recorded and scored for you. Running will follow after that. Importing everything is live now, and the experiences are what we are building next.
To start, open Settings, then Connections, and switch on Multi-sport import. Sync a run or a row and watch it land on your Training Status beside your rides. Your whole training life, in one place, at last.
